NOT-FOR-PROFIT GRANT WRITERS STANDARD FEE ARRANGEMENTS

Foundation and Corporate Donor Proposal Submissions

Our standard fee is $3,500 to develop, draft and edit a proposal for submission to multiple foundations and corporations, and $1,500 is the usual cost of prospect research and of photocopying and postage to distribute the proposal to multiple donors.

Unlike some grant-writing firms that may charge hourly fees (often resulting in a substantially higher overall bill), we charge a flat fee to assure that mutual obligations and responsibilities are clear.

Our fees of $3,500 and costs of $1,500 are stated separately because:

a. Some clients who come to us have identified donors already willing to support their organization but request that a professionally prepared proposal be supplied for board review.

In such case, there is no need to engage in extensive prospect research, photocopy multiple proposals or to expend funds for postage to distribute copies to numerous donors.

So for these clients, the total standard price is $3,500.

b. In most instances, however, clients require assistance to develop and conduct substantive research and to draft and edit a grant proposal, and also request that we conduct prospect research to target donors most likely to support the nonprofit organization. Most of these clients also request that we produce multiple copies and mail them to prospective donors. Our standard price for these services is $1,500 ($750 for research, if desired, and $750 for distribution, if desired).

So for clients requesting both sets of services, the total standard price is $5,000.

The total cost of  $5,000 is payable as follows:

a. $3,500 upon execution of the retainer agreement

b. $1,500 upon review and acceptance of the grant proposal by your organization prior to distribution to 25 or more prospective donors.

We are available to provide assistance when you have heard from donors and to offer related consultation for period of one year with respect to the proposal.

Preparation of Responses to Government Requests for Proposals (RFPs)

Our standard fee is $7,500 to develop, draft and edit a response to a government RFP and to timely submit the documents to the requesting agency.  Unlike some grant-writing firms that may charge hourly fees (often resulting in a substantially higher overall bill), we charge a flat fee to assure that mutual obligations and responsibilities are clear.

The total cost would be $7,500, payable as follows:

a. $5,000 upon execution of the retainer agreement

b. $2,500 upon review and acceptance of the RFP response by your organization

We provide assistance to develop and conduct substantive research and to draft and edit competitive and persuasive responses.  Editing services would ensure that facts, names, terminology, and institutional values are presented consistently throughout the RFP, from one section to another.

We would also ensure that a clear, consistent, and accurate message is transmitted and that typos, grammatical and factual errors and language-use problems are avoided.

We would also ensure that your documents are consistently designed; that font style, header style, logo usage, and page formatting should be consistent throughout your document.

Documents would be relayed electronically or by express mail or Federal Express.

A Resource-Development Consulting-Services Agreement will be sent for your review and execution prior to commencement of our work.
